Species
Taxon distribution as listed in assessment
This species has been recorded from the Ru'us al-Jibal (Jongbloed et al. 2003, Feulner 2011), usually close to agriculture but also spreading up hillsides (G.R. Feulner pers. comm. 2019). However, the species is easily overlooked. Globally, this species' native range extends from Macaronesia and western Europe to the Mediterranean and Arabian Peninsula (Board of Trustees, RBG Kew 2019).

Assessment rationale/justification
This species is known to occur in the Ru'us al-Jibal within the UAE. It is not thought to face any widespread threats. As a result, it seems that this species could be classed as Least Concern in accordance with MEW (2010) or Near Threatened, due to its restricted distribution. We consider the species to be Least Concern as, although it has a restricted extent of occurrence, there are no widespread threats. Although primarily peri-agricultural, this is probably a result of it preferring moister, disturbed ground, rather than being introduced.
