Permanent population in Bwindi, Mgahinga fluctuates and currently no resident population. Affected by cross border movements. Total population estimated at 400 (2011, UWA), population size likely to be +/- 50%. Population increasing, population estimated at 150 in 1982, 300 in 1990 (total population) so mature individuals less than 250.
