Weyns can be considered sub-species of Peters, but here taken as distinct (Grubb and Groves, 2001) . Sighted commonly enough to still be considered LC despite threats in Kibale and Queen Elizabeth (D.R. Mills 2014), although noted to be remarkably rare in some areas e.g. Bwindi (B. Mugerwa)
